I worked at Kiddies Korner from Oct 9 to Nov 21. When I went there for the first time, some of the staff didn’t know I would be working there, so I was confused. However, the staff members were very kind, and I really enjoyed working there.
My duties were playing with kids, reading them books, stopping them fighting or doing something bad, making their beds, helping them get dressed, putting them to bed, and cleaning tables and floors. I was rotating through three groups on a daily basis. In almost every class, I was doing these tasks. On the first day, I didn’t know what to do, but by observing the staff’s actions, I proactively did what I could. Once I got used to it, I enjoyed playing with the children and chatting with the staff members.
Working abroad is something that’s not easy to do, so I truly think it was a valuable experience. I felt a little sad about not being able to see the kids anymore. However, I really enjoyed working.
